A Weekend of Nothing

After several weekends filled with birthdays, Patriots playoff football and other commitments, it will be good to have a weekend with a clear calendar for once. I’m sure the weekend will contain various home improvement projects, vacation planning, a little work-work, and hopefully some recreational activities like working-out or going skating with family.

I hope everyone has as relaxing a weekend as I’m planning.

Let’s Say You’re Traveling to the Cape

My family and I love Cape Cod. We love everything about it: the beaches, the shops, the relaxed atmosphere, the traffic. Okay, maybe the traffic we could do without. When we get down there, though, we often feel the need to take in the local sites and certainly the local fare. When you’re on the Cape, it’s all about the seafood. While I’m not a big fan of seafood I can usually find something on the menu for a landlubber like myself. We’ve tried several places in the immediate Hyannis area but was looking for suggestions maybe a bit more off the beaten path, more central and eastern side of the Cape.

Have any suggestions you’d like to share? Add a reply to this article below. I’d love to hear from you.

Welcome to My Blog

Well you made. This is ScottOliver.com!

Over the years, I’ve written about restaurants, saving money, going green, productivity and all sorts of other stuff. Recently, I’ve felt the need to start writing again and, as I’ve done in the past, I’m looking for topics that are fun to write about in the hopes that I can keep it going this time (unlike the many starts and stops I’ve had in the past). Well, here’s to new beginnings and the chance that this time I’m might be successful.

I’ve chosen to write about, what else, dining out and traveling the countryside. As we enter the summer months, I have a desire to do a lot of both (because it makes it easier to write about my adventures).

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have writing it. Hope you come back soon! J
